For more information, please visit We DoAssociate Operations Counsel provides in-house legal and regulatory advice relative to topics affecting the mortgage servicing and origination industry, particularly around mortgage servicing document requirements; provides legal counsel to operational teams; drafts contracts, policies and product forms; occasionally interfaces with regulatory authorities and reports to management on changes in applicable law and regulatory trends in the industry.What You’ll DoFacilitate the business objectives of the Division(s) supported and Company by providing timely and effective legal support to as well as minimizing potential legal exposure and risk.Responsible for providing and rendering practical, timely, and high quality legal counsel and guidance to the Company division(s) and department(s) to which you are assigned, working with the independent Corporate Compliance Department to ensure compliance throughout the organization with regard to applicable laws and regulationsWhat You’ll BringLaw Degree requiredAdmitted to practice law in the USTypically has 1-3 years professional experience in area of specializationLicensed to practice law, in good standingKnows fundamental concepts, practices and procedures related to mortgage servicing and originationKnowledge of Federal and State regulationsDeveloped legal research, written and verbal communication skills.Good organizational skills with the ability to multi task, prioritize and work under pressureDemonstrated ability to manage workload and balance competing priorities.Ability to build and maintain rapport with superiors, peers, subordinates and external company contacts.Microsoft office productsPay Range: $112,400.00 - $149,800.00 AnnuallyThis hiring range is a reasonable estimate of the base pay range for this position at the time of posting.
