Vision Rehabilitation Specialist | Science Corporation Restoring vision – that’s our mission. With our PRIMA retinal prosthesis system, we are giving sight back to patients with advanced age‑related macular degeneration. We are looking for a Vision Rehabilitation Specialist (m/w/d), full‑time, at multiple locations across Germany. You will work directly with patients, helping them translate artificial vision into real‑world independence in daily life – a role with extraordinary impact. Responsibilities Deliver structured rehabilitation sessions – in person on‑site, with gradual progression toward remote and virtual formats Train vision skills and daily living activities , individually tailored to each patient’s goals and progress Assess patient progress , document outcomes, and adjust rehabilitation plans accordingly Provide technical support for PRIMA device tuning, optimisation, and basic troubleshooting in collaboration with clinical engineering teams Build strong patient relationships – motivate and support patients to achieve the best possible rehabilitation outcomes Collaborate closely with sales, field, and clinical engineering teams for coordinated patient care Maintain accurate data entry and documentation using worksheets and/or the NOVA system Qualifications Qualified orthoptist, optometrist, optician, ophthalmic nurse, or healthcare professional with relevant ophthalmology experience Up to 3 years of experience supporting blind or low‑vision patients Strong patient‑facing skills with the ability to build trust, rapport, and motivation German and professional English Willingness to travel regularly within Germany, including clinic and home visits Nice to have Knowledge of age‑related macular degeneration (AMD) and low‑vision therapy principles Experience working independently in the field while collaborating closely with cross‑functional teams Technically curious and confident in learning advanced medical device systems Structured and organized approach to documentation and data entry Pioneering work with real impact – Help patients regain their sight using cutting‑edge retinal prosthetics Innovative medical technology – Work at the intersection of neuroscience and ophthalmology Collaborative environment – A dedicated, interdisciplinary team across clinical, engineering, and commercial functions Dynamic workplace – A clinical‑stage company with room to shape things and short decision paths Equal Opportunity Statement Science Corporation is an equal opportunity employer.
