Electrician

Department: Fabrication Planning & Production Control Referral Bonus: $500.00USD Summary The purpose of this role is to perform installations on various types of equipment. You will be fully qualified with an industrial background and have the ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical code specifications and blueprints. You will have a strong focus on safety, cost control and customer satisfaction when performing the duties of the position. Principle Responsibilities and Duties Measures, cuts, bends, threads, assembles, and installs electrical conduit using such tools as a hacksaw, pipe threader, rules, and conduit benders. Inspect electrical systems, equipment and identify hazards. Installation of cable glance. Must have wiring and cable installation by machine, hand and in cable trays. Must be able to troubleshoot. Is responsible for making final electrical connections including Voltages at 480v/3 phase after installation of conduit. Design layout and installation of electrical wiring based on job specification. Observes functioning of installed equipment or system to determine hazards and need for adjustments, relocation, or replacement. Qualifications High School Diploma/GED desired; Certified Electrical Journeyman License required. Minimum of 1 - 10 years’ industrial electrical experience with direct industry experience. NCCER Certification and TWIC are desired. Must be able to read English. Must be able to read and interpret blueprints and NEC requirements. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required. Familiar with a variety of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within particular field. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of complicated tasks.
