Payroll Specialist

We are seeking a friendly and cheerful individual with payroll experience that enjoys speaking with and helping clients. In this role, you will assist companies of all sizes manage their most important asset - their people. You will work in a fast-paced, fun office, processing and managing changes for multiple payroll accounts while also providing support for the robust software. You will work collaboratively with a team of skilled professionals in a deadline driven environment, demonstrating accuracy and customer care, in order to make clients feel supported and taken care of. Overview Responsibilities and requirements for a payroll specialist role at Complete Payroll Services, including processing payroll, supporting clients, and using our HCM software. Duties and Responsibilities Accurately process payroll with a mix of data entry, proofing, and software support Manage workflow and deadlines to ensure all payrolls are processed Understand all aspects of our HCM software and provide support to clients Research, analyze, and resolve discrepancies Use payroll compliance knowledge to safeguard clients Update client accounts as directed by authorized contacts Enter Year-end adjustments to ensure accurate W2 reporting Respond to all phone calls and emails from clients with a helpful attitude Maintain client confidentiality at all times Qualifications Education and Experience: Proficient experience with computer software such as Excel, Word, Outlook required. Experience using a 10-key is preferred. Minimum Bachelor’s degree. Minimum two years customer service experience. Minimum of one year working in an office environment. Two years of payroll or HCM experience preferred. Skills and Knowledge: Excellent communication and diplomatic skills, as well as good mathematical and analytical abilities. Ability to organize and prioritize work to ensure timely completion of tasks. Strong concentration to analyze and solve problems; attention to detail; ability to work alone or as part of a team. Working Conditions Position works in an open office environment, with close collaboration with team members. Little or no travel is required.
