Job DescriptionAs a Security Officer Patrol Badge Records in Santa Clara, CA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a dynamic technology location, you will conduct routine patrols, monitor access points, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment for employees and visitors. You will use communication and customer service skills to report security-related concerns and respond to site needs. DayTimeMon04:00 PM - 12:30 AMTue04:00 PM - 12:30 AMWed04:00 PM - 12:30 AMThur04:00 PM - 12:30 AMWhat You'll Do:
- Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a technology and telecommunications facility.
- Monitor access points, verify visitor and contractor authorization, and maintain required access-control documentation in accordance with site procedures.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns through established communication channels.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, perimeter, equipment areas, and parking areas to identify and report unusual conditions or policy violations.
- Complete accurate activity reports, incident documentation, and shift handoff communications while supporting a professional environment for employees, visitors, and contractors.
Minimum Requirements:
- At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- A guard card or license is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
