This position involves providing specialized care on a stepdown unit from ICU with a diverse patient population, utilizing a co-care/virtual nursing model. The role requires a licensed RN in Alaska to deliver high-quality patient care across multiple disciplines in a Magnet Level II Trauma facility. Job Details Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS | Education Requirements: RN license in Alaska (pending OK; must obtain license within 48 hours of signing and have it in hand for Auto Offer) | Location Requirements: Must be at least 50 miles from the facility | Experience: 1 year | Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours, minimum 36 hours per week Position involves working on a stepdown unit featuring a wide variety of patient populations including cardiac, respiratory, neuro, and renal. The unit utilizes a co-care/virtual nursing model with bedside RN, Virtual RN working remotely, and CNA support, with patient ratios of 1:4 for RNs and 1:6 for CNAs. Responsibilities include managing high-acuity patients, conducting rounding, discharge planning, education, and safety rounds, with virtual RN assisting remotely. Experience in cardiac telemetry, ventilator management, interpreting ABGs, and managing multiple drips including vasoactive medications is preferred. Floating within scope to lower acuity units, renal care, neuro, and MS is permitted to meet staffing needs.
