Concrete Laborer

This role focuses on supporting precast concrete operations by safely loading, unloading, and handling materials outdoors in all weather conditions. You work with heavy concrete products, operate basic tools and equipment, and help maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area while contributing to efficient production flow.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload precast concrete materials, including lifting items weighing up to 50 pounds throughout the shift.
• Handle, move, and position concrete products safely in outdoor areas under direct sun and varying weather conditions.
• Perform general labor tasks such as cleaning work areas, organizing materials, and assisting with concrete preparation and finishing.
• Carry out patching work on precast concrete surfaces to meet quality and structural standards.
• Use saws, including wet saws, and basic hand tools to cut, trim, and modify concrete products as required.
• Follow safety procedures and guidelines when operating tools and handling heavy materials to prevent accidents and injuries.
• Support construction and concrete production activities by completing assigned tasks efficiently and on time.
• Maintain a tidy and hazard-free work environment by removing debris, storing tools properly, and reporting any safety concerns.
• Collaborate with team members and follow instructions to meet daily production goals and schedule requirements.
• Work flexible hours, including early morning start times and some Saturdays, to support operational needs.

Essential Skills

• Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting up to 50 pounds and standing, bending, and moving for extended periods.
• Experience working with precast concrete or in a concrete or construction-related environment.
• Proven experience in patching concrete surfaces to meet quality standards.
• Ability to safely use saws, including wet saws, for cutting and shaping concrete materials.
• Proficiency with basic hand tools commonly used in construction and concrete work.
• Comfort working outdoors under the sun and in various weather conditions.
• Willingness and ability to work early morning shifts and extended hours as needed.
• Capability to follow safety procedures and work in a fast-paced, physically intensive setting.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in general labor, outdoor work, concrete handling, or construction is highly beneficial.
• Experience in a precast concrete facility or similar industrial environment is an advantage.
• Ability to communicate effectively in Spanish.
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and readiness to take direction and work as part of a team.
• Attention to detail when performing patching, cutting, and finishing tasks to ensure product quality.

Work Environment

This is a full-time, first-shift role in an outdoor and industrial setting focused on precast concrete production. Typical hours run from approximately 5:50 AM to 4:25 PM, Monday through Friday, with some or most Saturdays required based on operational needs. Work takes place under the sun and in various weather conditions, involving regular heavy lifting and physical activity. You use basic hand tools, saws, including wet saws, and other equipment typical of concrete and construction work. The environment emphasizes safety, cleanliness, and teamwork, and you should expect practical, durable work attire suitable for outdoor labor and exposure to dust, noise, and concrete materials.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Miami, FL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
