What We Need
The Senior On-Site Project Management (Mexico) is a senior role accountable for the end-to-end planning, execution, and delivery of Symbotic’s automated solutions at customer sites. This leader partners closely with executive customers, cross-functional internal stakeholders, and external vendors to drive complex, large-scale implementations from contract review through installation, commissioning, and final acceptance.
This role is the executive owner of the regional project portfolio and requires the simultaneous orchestration of a multi-project environment, characterized by competing priorities and shared global resources.
The role acts as the central conduit for communication between the customer, internal Symbotic teams, and assigned subcontractors, with a strong emphasis on schedule adherence, cost control, scope management, and safety. You will act as the primary interface for the customer’s local leadership team and the final point of escalation within the region, ensuring that the regional portfolio delivers on its financial and operational promises. Travel to customer sites and corporate offices in Boston and other US locations may be required.
What We Do
Our Sr. On-Site Project Management team plays a critical role in technical automation projects, ensuring that the project is successfully executed, on time, and within budget. They serve as a key liaison between technical teams, stakeholders, and management, ensuring that the project is executed smoothly and successfully, meeting its objectives and delivering value to the organization.
What You’ll Do
Serve as the executive owner of site implementation projects, acting as the primary customer escalation point.
Own the full regional portfolio, balancing shared global resources and competing milestones to ensure high-velocity execution across all sites simultaneously.
Champion the adoption of Symbotic’s standardized project management framework within the region. Lead the execution of stage-gate reviews, milestone governance, and proactive risk management processes to ensure systemic consistency.
Navigate complex, critical negotiations and change management with customers and vendors. Lead the identification and resolution of contractual issues while maintaining strong, long-term customer and vendor relationships.
Lead customer and internal cross-functional teams to fully understand contractual requirements and execute project scope, schedule, cost, quality, safety, and customer satisfaction metrics.
Drive project planning and execution for complex, custom automation installations, ensuring alignment across engineering, software, controls, manufacturing, construction, commissioning, and operations.
Proactively identify and forecast systemic risks across the portfolio. Provide "no-surprise" transparency to Sybmotic leadership through data-driven updates on progress, wins, and cost impacts.
Present regular executive-level project updates highlighting progress, wins, risks, opportunities, and cost impacts.
With global Procurement, own vendor, contractor, and partner relationships to ensure performance, accountability, and alignment with project objectives within the region.
Develop, lead, and coach project management leaders and teams, ensuring adherence to Symbotic processes and fostering a culture of accountability, consistency, and excellence.
In partnership with the global Project Execution PMO, lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance project execution, internal processes, and overall customer experience.
What You’ll Need
Bachelor's degree in engineering, Management, or related discipline required.
Minimum of 12 years of project or program management experience delivering large-scale, complex, cross-functional programs integrating hardware, software, and controls.
Minimum of 7 years of direct people leadership experience managing managers and senior professionals.
Experience with material handling systems, industrial automation, robotics, or large capital equipment deployments is strongly preferred.
Demonstrated experience executing projects using Agile methodologies, with the ability to operate in hybrid Agile/Waterfall environments.
Experience leading or supporting organizational transitions from Waterfall to Agile/Scrum is a plus.
Strong negotiation, stakeholder management, and relationship-building skills across customers, vendors, and internal technical teams.
Proficiency with project management and collaboration tools including JIRA, MS Project, PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Visio.
PMP certification is preferred.
Proven ability to operate effectively in fast-paced, ambiguous environments and make sound decisions with incomplete information.
Strong analytical skills with experience leveraging metrics and data to drive continuous improvement.
Highly collaborative, team-oriented leader with the ability to motivate and influence at all levels.
Fluency in Spanish and English required.
Our Environment
Remote, field-based position supporting customer sites.
Travel required up to 65%, including the ability to drive and/or fly to customer and partner locations within the assigned country/region. Occasional travel to the United States is required for training and key leaders meetings.
Must maintain a valid driver’s license.
Employees must manage business expenses via personal credit card with bi-weekly reimbursement.
Role requires frequent walking, reaching, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling.
Ability to work at heights up to 45 feet and within restrictive areas of approximately 24 inches.
Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Strict adherence to all safety protocols, including Lockout/Tagout and fall protection requirements.
Approximately 75% of time spent on active construction sites with required PPE (hard hat, safety vest, steel-toe footwear, safety glasses, hearing protection, fall protection).
Ability to navigate steep stairs and elevated structures within automation systems.
Regular exposure to elevated railings and work at height.
Exposure to varying environmental conditions with temperatures ranging from 32°F to 105°F.

Impulsar la adopción del marco estandarizado de gestión de proyectos de Symbotic dentro de la región. Liderar revisiones stage-gate, gobernanza de hitos y procesos proactivos de gestión de riesgos para asegurar consistencia sistémica.
Gestionar negociaciones complejas y críticas, así como cambios con clientes y proveedores. Liderar la identificación y resolución de problemas contractuales manteniendo relaciones sólidas y de largo plazo.
Liderar equipos multifuncionales internos y del cliente para comprender completamente los requisitos contractuales y ejecutar el alcance del proyecto, cronograma, costos, calidad, seguridad y métricas de satisfacción del cliente.
Dirigir la planificación y ejecución de instalaciones complejas y personalizadas de automatización, asegurando alineación entre ingeniería, software, controles, manufactura, construcción, puesta en marcha y operaciones.
Identificar y prever proactivamente riesgos sistémicos en todo el portafolio. Proporcionar transparencia “sin sorpresas” al liderazgo de Symbotic mediante actualizaciones basadas en datos sobre avances, logros e impactos en costos.
Presentar actualizaciones periódicas de nivel ejecutivo destacando avances, logros, riesgos, oportunidades e impactos financieros.
En conjunto con Procurement global, gestionar relaciones con proveedores, contratistas y socios para asegurar desempeño, responsabilidad y alineación con los objetivos del proyecto dentro de la región.
Desarrollar, liderar y capacitar líderes y equipos de gestión de proyectos, garantizando el cumplimiento de los procesos de Symbotic y fomentando una cultura de responsabilidad, consistencia y excelencia.
En colaboración con la PMO global de Ejecución de Proyectos, liderar iniciativas de mejora continua para optimizar la ejecución de proyectos, procesos internos y la experiencia general del cliente.
Lo que necesitarás
Título universitario en Ingeniería, Administración o disciplina relacionada.
Mínimo de 12 años de experiencia en gestión de proyectos o programas entregando programas complejos, multifuncionales y de gran escala que integren hardware, software y controles.
Mínimo de 7 años de experiencia liderando personas, incluyendo gerentes y profesionales senior.
Experiencia en sistemas de manejo de materiales, automatización industrial, robótica o implementación de grandes equipos de capital es altamente deseable.
Experiencia demostrada ejecutando proyectos con metodologías Agile y capacidad para trabajar en entornos híbridos Agile/Waterfall.
Experiencia liderando o apoyando transiciones organizacionales de Waterfall a Agile/Scrum es un plus.
Fuertes habilidades de negociación, gestión de stakeholders y desarrollo de relaciones con clientes, proveedores y equipos técnicos internos.
Dominio de herramientas de gestión de proyectos y colaboración como JIRA, MS Project, PowerPoint, Excel, Word y Visio.
Certificación PMP preferida.
Capacidad comprobada para desempeñarse eficazmente en entornos rápidos y ambiguos, tomando decisiones acertadas con información incompleta.
Fuertes habilidades analíticas y experiencia utilizando métricas y datos para impulsar mejoras continuas.
Líder altamente colaborativo y orientado al trabajo en equipo, con capacidad para motivar e influir en todos los niveles.
Dominio fluido de español e inglés.
Nuestro entorno
Puesto remoto y basado en campo, apoyando sitios de clientes.
Disponibilidad para viajar hasta un 65%, incluyendo la capacidad de conducir y/o volar a ubicaciones de clientes y socios dentro de la región asignada. Viajes ocasionales a Estados Unidos son requeridos para capacitaciones y reuniones con líderes clave.
Debe mantener una licencia de conducir válida.

El puesto requiere caminar, estirarse, subir, mantener equilibrio, agacharse, arrodillarse, ponerse en cuclillas y gatear frecuentemente.
Capacidad para trabajar en alturas de hasta 45 pies y en espacios reducidos de aproximadamente 24 pulgadas.
Debe poder levantar y/o mover hasta 50 libras.
Cumplimiento estricto de todos los protocolos de seguridad, incluyendo procedimientos de bloqueo/etiquetado (Lockout/Tagout) y protección contra caídas.
Aproximadamente el 75% del tiempo se pasa en sitios activos de construcción utilizando el equipo de protección personal requerido (casco, chaleco de seguridad, botas con punta de acero, lentes de seguridad, protección auditiva y protección contra caídas).

Exposición regular a barandales elevados y trabajo en altura.
