Associate Director, Safety Data Solutions Architect

Johnson & Johnson seeks an Associate Director to architect safety analytics solutions on Google Cloud Platform, translating pharmacovigilance science needs into validated, scalable data and AI capabilities. Lead multi-year roadmap development, establish governed AI patterns, and coordinate cross-functional engineering teams to deliver inspection-ready data products.
Responsibilities
- Establish architecture strategy with performance baselines for data onboarding, platform reliability, and inspection readiness
- Develop multi-year data and platform roadmap translating safety science workflows and business capabilities
- Define governed AI lifecycle patterns and platform controls for model evaluation, deployment, monitoring, and reproducibility
- Design domain-aligned data products and curated datasets for pharmacovigilance with quality and reliability criteria
- Own target-state architectures across ingestion, transformation, storage, and consumption on GCP infrastructure
Requirements
- Solution architecture leadership in cloud platforms, particularly Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
- Deep expertise in data engineering, pipelines, and enterprise data governance
- Experience with AI/ML lifecycle governance and responsible AI frameworks
- Knowledge of pharmacovigilance, drug safety science, or healthcare regulatory environments
- Proficiency in managing large-scale data platforms and microservices architectures
- Demonstrated ability to lead Principal-level engineers and cross-functional teams
- Understanding of compliance, audit readiness, and healthcare data regulations
