Our client, a leading Financial Services Provider, is seeking a Network Operations Specialist to join their team. This position is a 24/7 "eyes on glass" real-time environment monitoring role, focused completely on tracking network health, prioritizing events, and collaborating with external vendors and cross-functional internal support teams. This is not a hands-on hardware engineering or high-level architecture role; it is a rapid-response, multi-tasking operations position.

Our client, a leading Financial Services Provider, is seeking a Network Operations Specialist to join their team. This position is a 24/7 "eyes on glass" real-time environment monitoring role, focused completely on tracking network health, prioritizing events, and collaborating with external vendors and cross-functional internal support teams. This is not a hands-on hardware engineering or high-level architecture role; it is a rapid-response, multi-tasking operations position.
This position is W-2 only. We do not work with third-party firms or C2C arrangements for this role. Core Responsibilities
- Administer and manage the day-to-day network operations of a large-scale global mixed-media network environment supporting mission-critical customer applications
- Maintain constant "eyes on glass" surveillance of the data network for connectivity issues, performance degradation, and systems anomalies across various data centers
- Track, document, and manage system alerts and support tickets through swift resolution with external vendors and internal support networks
- Act actively on rapid response calls, successfully prioritizing incoming events in a highly intense, fast-paced multi-tasking environment
- Execute carefully planned and created data network changes without performing physical infrastructure or hardware modifications
- Contribute meaningfully to regular agile team ceremonies, lead software/tool demos, and deliver progress presentations
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent relative field experience
- 2+ years of software engineering, DevOps, or relative network operations experience
- Solid background monitoring real-time production environments and dealing effectively with third-party telecommunication or IT vendors
- Direct experience working within agile framework teams and participating in fast-turnaround response workflows
- Demonstrated ability to quickly adopt, learn, and master new specialized cloud and network software technologies
- Strong ability to multitask efficiently and prioritize high-visibility events under pressure without losing focus
- Practical experience working with market-standard observability tools like Riverbed or SolarWinds
- Willingness and capability to train extensively on specialized, in-house built software monitoring systems
- Comfort implementing tactical system solutions using automation, script tools, and modern software-defined security practices
- Familiarity with high-priority enterprise ticketing queues and rapid escalation matrices
- Complete comfort working regular second-shift hours and variable weekend monitoring rotations as required by the global network team
- Security-First Attitude: Maintains an inherent baseline focus on infrastructure security, data integrity, and strict protocol adherence during shifts.
- Strong Communication: Exceptional verbal skills with the ability to confidently cross-collaborate with internal engineering units and external providers.
- Resilient Work Ethic: Demonstrates exceptional grit, dedication, and strict attention to detail during active "eyes on glass" monitoring intervals.
- Focused Operator Focus: Content with continuous system monitoring, real-time alert triage, and operational process loops without seeking high-level architectural design tasks.
- Location: Fully Remote
- Expectation: Hybrid (2nd shift, 2:00 PM - 11:00 PM ET. 1-hour lunch. Potential weekend rotation required).
- Pay Range: The approximate pay range for this position is between $52.00 and $75.00 per hour. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to background, knowledge, skills, and location. We comply with local wage minimums.
