Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Step Down Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day/Night Rotation Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 12 months in specialty License: Permanent state license or compact state license required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS Must-Have: - 12 months of permanent experience in the specialty being applied for - Active certifications at the time of submission - Reference from a manager, supervisor or director in the specialty Description: This position involves caring for patients in a step down unit. The role may require traveling to other units to provide care similar to the primary patient population. Shifts will be on a rotating basis, including both day and night hours. Candidates are expected to work at least every other holiday. An ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate assessment will be conducted during the orientation period. A passing score on both assessments is required for successful completion. Candidates will have two attempts to pass the assessments; failure to do so may result in cancellation of the position. It is essential to have a clear background without any open cases, as well as a nicotine-free status if applicable. All selected candidates must ensure compliance with competencies required by the facility. Additional modular training may be required annually. Failure to complete required training may affect scheduling and compliance status. Candidates must adhere to all facility policies and requirements throughout their contracting period.
