Collections Specialist

Job TitleThe position is responsible for assisting with all Eastern Funding delinquent customer accounts.Key Accountabilities:Monitor and clear check and automatic debit bounces.Notify loan officers and management team of action steps taken by collections specialist.Be proficient in the Company's accounting software system.Answer all customers billing related inquires.Make ACH date and bank changes as required.Create check spreadsheet for all incoming checks received by Customer Service.Maintain the Eastern Funding used equipment list.Maintain the repossession & returns list for all Specialty Vehicles.Assist on repossession of equipment which requires visitation to the location for physical removal of assets.Make suggestions to management with respect to loan workout.Assist in house attorney in preparing default letter and in other legal matters.Know and understand the company's BSA/AML compliance policies and participate in the company's ongoing compliance training.Performs other related duties as assigned.Education:High school diplomaBachelor's degree preferredExperience:2-4 years collections experienceSkills & Knowledge:Strong verbal communicationsAbility to multitask and problem solveAbility to work independently and understand the need for timely response and proactive measuresAbility to work cooperatively with team and other department colleaguesWorking knowledge of Microsoft officeWorking knowledge of Tvalue, preferredBeacon Bank is an Equal Opportunity Employer - all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, or national origin.
