Mechanical Engineer

We are seeking a driven and technically strong Mechanical Engineer to join a growing organization in the Tampa area. This position will play a key role in supporting product design, process improvements, equipment optimization, and cross‑functional engineering initiatives within a fast‑paced manufacturing and engineering environment. The ideal candidate is hands‑on, solutions‑oriented, and comfortable working closely with operations, production, quality, and leadership teams to improve performance, reliability, and efficiency. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and improve mechanical components, systems, and assemblies using CAD software Create and maintain engineering drawings, specifications, BOMs, and technical documentation Support manufacturing and production teams with troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and process improvements Assist with product development, testing, validation, and implementation activities Collaborate cross‑functionally with operations, quality, supply chain, and project teams to support engineering initiatives Analyze equipment and system performance to identify opportunities for cost savings, increased reliability, and operational efficiency Participate in continuous improvement projects related to safety, productivity, quality, and waste reduction Support vendor coordination, equipment selection, and engineering change management processes Ensure designs and engineering practices comply with applicable industry standards and safety requirements Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field 3+ years of engineering experience in manufacturing, industrial, or product development environments preferred Proficiency with CAD software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or Inventor Strong understanding of mechanical systems, manufacturing processes, and engineering fundamentals Experience with troubleshooting, process optimization, and continuous improvement initiativesExcellent communication, organizational, and problem‑solving skills Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast‑paced environment Preferred Experience Experience supporting manufacturing operations or industrial equipment Exposure to Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies Project engineering or project management experience Experience working directly with vendors, suppliers, or production teams #J-18808-Ljbffr
