Machine Operator IIMcKinney, TX 75069OverviewSalary Range $17.00 Position Type Full Time Job Shift 1st ShiftDescriptionPosition SummaryThe Router Operator is responsible for safely operating router machinery to cut and shape plywood and other wood materials according to production requirements. This role requires proper machine setup, the ability to follow production schedules and detailed instructions, and strong attention to quality and safety. The Router Operator is also responsible for maintaining an organized work area and supporting overall production flow within the department.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesEmployee may be required to perform, but is not limited to, the following duties:Operate router machinery to cut and shape plywood and other wood materials according to production requirementsProperly set up and prepare router machinery before beginning productionRead and follow production schedules, work orders, and instructions to ensure materials are cut according to specificationsInspect materials and completed products to ensure accuracy and quality standards are metOperate machinery and equipment safely in accordance with company proceduresUse basic power tools and equipment, including power guns and drills, as requiredLoad, position, and handle materials required for productionMaintain awareness of machine operation and immediately report equipment malfunctions or operational concerns to supervisionMaintain a clean, safe, and organized work area in accordance with company housekeeping standardsAssist with preparing and cutting cardboard tubes, wood pieces, and other materials using approved equipment and machinery as assignedLearn and perform additional secondary tasks within the Plywood Department as requiredSupport overall production flow and assist other team members when necessaryPerform all other duties as assignedQualificationsHigh School Diploma or equivalent preferredMust be at least 18 years of agePrevious experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment preferredAbility to follow detailed verbal and written instructionsStrong attention to detail and commitment to qualityMechanical aptitude and ability to safely operate production equipmentAbility and willingness to learn additional tasks and equipment within the departmentPhysical RequirementsAbility to stand, walk, bend, twist, squat, reach, push, and pull for the duration of the shiftAbility to perform repetitive tasksAbility to work in varying environmental conditionsAbility to lift and carry up to 40 poundsAbility to push and pull materials as requiredSafety RequirementsThe employee is required to follow all company safety policies and procedures at all times.
