Job Summary:
The location is in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. This position is for a Respiratory Therapist Registered in a healthcare facility setting. Candidates are expected to administer standard respiratory care, including aerosol medication delivery, pulmonary function testing, breathing exercises, and oxygen therapy. The role involves airway management procedures, ventilator care, and advanced respiratory interventions. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Days shift; 12 hours per shift; minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Graduation from an accredited Respiratory Therapy program; licensed as a Respiratory Care Practitioner by the North Carolina Respiratory Care Board; registered as CRT OR RRT; must possess BLS certification.
• Preferred Qualifications: N/A
• Float: Float rotation may be required.
• Additional Information: The role involves working with Carolina Air Care to transport pediatric and neonatal patients from referral hospitals as per UNC Air Care Protocol and may include performing procedures such as UAC, UVC, IV insertion, chest tube insertion, needle decompression, ABG analysis, blood glucose monitoring, and ECMO management if applicable. The Respiratory Care Practitioner will serve as a resource for staff and physicians, may train new staff and students, and could assume Charge Therapist responsibilities. All patient care procedures must be recorded accurately in the electronic medical record system.
