Junior Controller: Multi-Entity Growth Leader

CV Resources is partnering with a growing client in the family entertainment space to help them identify a Junior Controller to join their accounting operation. Our client is a multi-location business, operating venues across several states with continued expansion plans underway. This is an exciting opportunity to join a stable, growth-oriented organization where the accounting team plays a highly visible role in supporting executive leadership and operational growth. The company is seeking either a Junior Controller or a strong Accounting Manager ready to step into a broader leadership role. This individual will become a key member of the finance team and will work directly with executive leadership on day-to-day accounting operations, financial reporting, and cash management. Position Overview The Junior Controller will oversee the company’s accounting operations across multiple entities and help ensure accurate and timely financial reporting. Key Responsibilities Manage monthly financial close processes across multiple entities Prepare and review financial statements and supporting schedules Oversee general ledger activity, reconciliations, and month-end close Perform cash forecasting and support cash management initiatives Coordinate with external CPA firm on tax and accounting matters Maintain and improve accounting procedures and internal processes Supervise and mentor accounting support staff Assist leadership with operational and financial analysis as needed Ensure accuracy and consistency within NetSuite and Excel-based reporting Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field 5+ years of progressive accounting experience Prior experience as an Accounting Manager, Assistant Controller, Senior Accountant, or Junior Controller preferred Experience managing month-end close and financial reporting Strong understanding of GAAP and multi-entity accounting NetSuite experience strongly preferred Advanced Excel skills required Prior supervisory experience preferred CPA or CPA-track is a plus, but not required 401(k) with company match Medical, Dental, and Vision coverage Opportunity for long-term growth with an expanding organization Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate is hands-on, detail-oriented, and comfortable operating in a growing, entrepreneurial environment.
