Step into a dynamic contract role where your passion for supporting students’ physical development makes a daily impact. We are seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist (PT) or Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to serve a vibrant elementary caseload for the full academic year, starting as soon as possible. This is a unique opportunity to work closely with young learners, helping them overcome physical challenges and achieve their individual goals.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid state licensure/certification as a Physical Therapist or Physical Therapist Assistant
- Experience working with children in an educational or pediatric setting is highly preferred
- Foundations in developing and implementing treatment plans tailored to school-aged children
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with teachers, staff, and families
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment
Responsibilities:
- Provide physical therapy services to elementary-aged students as outlined in their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Assess students’ physical abilities and develop intervention plans to help meet educational and developmental milestones
- Collaborate with educators, families, and interdisciplinary teams to maximize student progress
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports according to school and legal requirements
- Offer consultative support and training to school staff on physical access and safety for students
