The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

• Perform visual and dimensional inspections of raw materials, in-process components, and finished products.
• Utilize precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges to verify product specifications.
• Document inspection results accurately and maintain detailed records in accordance with quality procedures.
• Identify and report non-conforming materials or products, initiating corrective action procedures as required.
• Collaborate with production and engineering teams to resolve quality issues and implement preventive measures.
• Operate and maintain specialized inspection equipment, ensuring proper calibration and functionality.

Recommended Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• 1-3 years of experience in manufacturing, quality control, or a related technical field
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical specifications
• Familiarity with various inspection tools and methodologies (e.g., calipers, micrometers, CMM, visual inspection)
• Strong attention to detail and ability to identify defects or non-conformities
• Basic computer skills for data entry and report generation

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with metrology equipment beyond standard hand tools (e.g., CMM, optical comparators, laser scanners).
• Demonstrated ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings, including GD&T.
• Familiarity with various manufacturing processes (e.g., machining, welding, assembly) and their associated defect modes.
• IPC certification (e.g., IPC-A-610, J-STD-001) for electronics manufacturing environments.
• Basic understanding of statistical process control (SPC) and data analysis.
