Job Summary

We are in search of a caring Nursing Assistant to become part of our team in an inpatient environment. As a Nursing Assistant, you will deliver patient-focused nursing care and assist with daily living activities for assigned patients under the guidance of a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). Your role is vital in ensuring the smooth operation of the unit. If you possess flexibility, an open mind, and a willingness to exceed expectations, you will excel in this position. Responsibilities

• Assist with fundamental healthcare needs such as bathing, grooming, toileting, and eating, while also addressing emotional and spiritual requirements.
• Document vital signs, blood glucose levels, and other essential health information.
• Support patient transfers and mobility.
• Handle clerical tasks related to scheduling and recording patient healthcare information.
• Prepare and sanitize patient treatment areas, living spaces, and medical equipment.
• Dispose of biomedical waste following established standards and policies.

Qualifications

A high school diploma or general equivalency diploma (GED) is preferred but not mandatory. Certification as a Nursing Assistant (CNA) is also preferred. Candidates must obtain and maintain the necessary department-specific competencies and certifications.

If you are working in North Dakota (ND) and do not hold a CNA certification, you must be listed on the North Dakota Department of Health Nurse Aide Registry upon completing training/competency validation or within four months of starting employment.
