Call Center Customer Service Representative

Position Overview

VSSI Staffing is seeking a dependable *Call Center Customer Service Representative* to support a fast-paced distribution center. This is a phone-based role responsible for handling a high volume of inbound customer calls, researching order and delivery information, documenting customer interactions, and coordinating with warehouse and transportation teams to ensure excellent customer support.

This position is ideal for candidates with previous call center or customer support experience who are comfortable multitasking, navigating multiple computer systems, and providing professional service over the phone. Training on all internal systems will be provided.

* 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM

*Option 2*

* Tuesday–Saturday
* 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM

*Option 3*

* Tuesday–Saturday
* 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM

Key Responsibilities

* Handle a high volume of inbound customer calls in a professional and timely manner.
* Respond to customer inquiries regarding orders, deliveries, and shipment status.
* Research order information using internal computer systems.
* Confirm delivery schedules and communicate accurate updates to customers.
* Document customer interactions, service requests, and account updates.
* Perform accurate data entry while assisting customers over the phone.
* Escalate complex customer concerns to the appropriate department when needed.
* Work closely with warehouse, dispatch, transportation, and leadership teams to resolve customer issues.
* Complete daily administrative tasks, reports, and required documentation.
* Participate in cross-training and maintain knowledge of company procedures.
* Maintain a clean, organized, and safety-conscious work environment.
* Perform other duties as assigned.

QualificationsRequired

* Previous call center or customer service experience preferred.
* Experience handling a high volume of inbound calls is a plus.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Strong phone etiquette and active listening skills.
* Comfortable navigating multiple computer systems while assisting customers.
* Accurate typing and data entry skills.
* Ability to multitask in a fast-paced call center environment.
* Reliable attendance, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.

Preferred

* Experience in logistics, transportation, warehouse, or distribution operations.
* Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.
