We are looking for an Accounting Specialist who will be responsible for mid-level accounting tasks. The ideal candidate will be extremely organized, able to multitask, as well as have great communication skills. This position requires the ability to stay on task, meet deadlines and pay attention to details. In addition, the ideal candidate will bring restaurant experience to the team. Responsibilities:Maintain precise records of all vendor paymentsMonitor tax liabilities and ensure tax liabilities are paid on timeResponsible for paying and keeping record of all invoicesKeep track of all company credit card spending, and make payments on credit accountsAnalyze all accounts on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis to ensure payment accuracyWork collaboratively with various departments to perform accounting auditsPrepare and mail all required tax documentsValidate payroll entry and prepare reports for payroll administrator, as well as, 401K reconciliation and paymentResearch and approve new vendors and create new vendor accounts Oversee and support all administrative duties in the office and ensure that office is operating smoothlyOversee and support all administrative duties in the office and ensure that office is operating smoothlyManage office budget to maintain supplies inventory and place orders as necessaryPerform receptionist duties: greet visitors, and answer and direct phone callsReceive and sort incoming mail and deliveries, and manage outgoing mailDevelop office policies and procedures, and ensure they are implemented appropriatelyAssist with office layout planning and office moves, and with managing and maintaining IT infrastructure in the officeIdentify opportunities for process and office management improvements, and design and implement new systemsProvide other administrative support as necessary, including scheduling group meetings, maintaining calendars, doing research, and creating reportsQualifications:Associate 's degree in business administration, accounting, finance, or other related field; or job-related experience2-5 years of supervisory/AP experienceProven knowledge of accounting industry-leading accounting software, especially QuickBooksComfortable with productivity tools, such as Microsoft Office SuiteAbility to work either independently or collaboratively, as neededDistinctly self-motivated and cable of handling multiple tasks in a high-pressure environmentStrong organizational and time management skills, and ability to prioritizeExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsStrong problem-solving skills and analytical abilities
