Job Title and Location Tech Regional Inplant Rep – Arkansas, Oklahoma, or Texas Schedule First Shift: 8:00 am – 5:00 pm. Non‑exempt day shift; schedule may vary based on business need. Job Overview Under supervision from the Regional Inplant Manager (RIPO), the Regional Inplant Support Rep (RISR) is responsible for performing Inplant operations including color matching, blending, and producing. Responsibilities also include quality control of inks made and used at the customer location (Sheetfed, Paste, Water‑based, Solvent Flexographic ink, etc.). The RISR provides press‑side technical assistance, orders materials and manages inventory, and acts as liaison between the customer and Sun Chemical. Essential Job Functions Provides manufacturing and operational support to Sun Chemical implants in the St. Louis area. Performs all Inplant duties, including batch production, color matching, inventory management, formula management, site‑specific reporting, and Sun Chemical reporting. Complies with all safety requirements, including the use of PPE, safe material handling, SDS management, housekeeping, and general safety procedures. Implements Sun Chemical Inplant procedures and best practices as directed by Inplant Manager, Regional Inplant Operations Manager, or Senior CTS Technicians. Performs Inplant assessments (audit) at Inplants in this region as directed by the Regional Inplant Operations Manager. Participates in transitional activities related to new business opportunities or capital projects within the region at the direction of senior CTS Technicians and the Regional Inplant Operations Manager. This may include shift work, Inplant management, equipment installation/de‑commissioning, and implementation of SOPs. Completes monthly training activities as assigned. This includes web‑based training (e‑path learning tool) modules and field training activities with CTS Technicians. Supports CTS team as directed by CTS technicians and Regional Inplant Operations Manager. This may include trial support, complaint investigation, and identifying customer needs and concerns. Contributes technical information, reviews overall progress through daily follow‑up, and provides technical assistance (intelligence) to Inplant management. Logs all field activity in the Sun Chemical CRM tool (salesforce.com). Completes technical call reports and trial reports as needed, including both internal and external documentation. Required Education and Experience High School diploma or equivalent. Inplant work experience required. Good color vision and ability to match colors in various ink systems. Strong customer presence and ability to work in various manufacturing environments. Familiarity with Inplant SOPs and standard manufacturing safety procedures. Preferred Education and Experience Broad experience with ink systems and printing technologies. Process improvement training preferred (Six Sigma, 5S, Lean, Kepner Tregoe, QA, etc.). Position Type and Hours Non‑exempt. Day shift; work schedule will vary based on business need. Direct Reports None. Travel Requirements Up to 70% and overnight.
