IT Specialist

Requirements Must have: Extensive expertise in computer networking, including routing protocols such as OSPF, BGP, and EIGRP, as well as switching, VLANs, QoS, MPLS, and Ethernet standards. Strong hands-on experience configuring and supporting network equipment, including Cisco routers and switches, Meraki devices, firewalls such as Cisco ASA, load balancers, and IPsec or SSL VPN solutions. Solid background in network security practices, including firewall administration, VPN setup, system hardening, and LDAP-based authentication integration. Experience working with Linux distributions such as Ubuntu and Debian, BSD variants, and Windows Server environments. Ability to automate tasks using PowerShell or shell scripting, with familiarity in APIs for system integration. Proficiency with remote support tools and network monitoring platforms such as SolarWinds or PRTG. Demonstrated ability to carry out vulnerability assessments and apply security best practices in complex IT environments. Responsibilities: Design, deploy, and maintain our LAN, WAN, and VPN infrastructure to ensure dependable connectivity. Configure and support network hardware, including Cisco routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers, to improve traffic handling and protection. Administer network security technologies such as Cisco ISE, PKI, LDAP, SSO, and access control measures. Troubleshoot network incidents using advanced tools like SolarWinds, PRTG, Splunk, and related diagnostics to resolve issues involving TCP/IP, routing, VLANs, and hardware. Support system administration activities across Active Directory, GPOs, DHCP, DNS, NFS, and hardened Windows and Linux-based systems. Contribute to high-availability initiatives, including VMware virtualization and SAN environments, to strengthen resilience. Perform vulnerability reviews and security audits using IDS/IPS and vulnerability management tools to help protect our infrastructure.
