The College of Education, Health and Society (EHS) was founded in 1902, and was Miami University’s first professional school and home to Miami’s first graduate of color. Minimum Qualifications: Ph.D. or terminal degree in Family Science or Social Work, or closely related field by date of appointment and a minimum of two years of practice experience post master’s degree achievement for appointment as Visiting Assistant Professor; Master's (or ABD) in Social Work or closely related field by date of appointment and a minimum of two years of practice experience post master’s degree achievement for appointment as Instructor. Consideration may be given to candidates with applied professional experience, including but not limited to a minimum of five years practice experience post master’s degree achievement; those holding licensure (e.g., LSW, LISW, LISW-S) in social work; and experience teaching hybrid or fully online as well as face-to-face courses.
