Travel RN - Trauma ICU

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Level I Trauma ICU position requiring Epic charting experience and prior travel nursing experience.

Level I Trauma ICU setting with 14 rooms and 16 beds

Patient ratio of 1:2

Day shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 7:00 to 19:00

Float required to ICU, IMC, and Tele units as needed

Utilizes Epic charting system

Active TX or Compact RN license required in hand at time of consideration

Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS required; PALS and TNCC preferred

Minimum 2 years of RN experience preferred

Previous travel nursing experience required

Epic charting experience required

Level I or Level II Trauma experience preferred

Teaching hospital and community hospital experience preferred

Previous charge nurse experience preferred

Skilled in respiratory/thoracic care including BiPAP/CPAP management and care of ventilated patients, with ventilator management preferred

Experience with IV therapy, blood product administration, and central line care/management

Experience starting and maintaining IVs

Neurological skills including ICP monitoring preferred

Cardiac monitoring and emergency response skills, including interpretation and management of dysrhythmias

Provide critical care nursing to trauma ICU patients in a Level I Trauma facility

Candidates residing in Henderson, Anderson, Cherokee, Rusk, Panola, Smith, Gregg, Van Zandt, Wood, Upshur, Camp, Hopkins, Franklin, Titus, or Morris counties are not eligible

Local candidates within 50 miles are not accepted

Former staff must wait one year before returning as a traveler

All requested RTO must be submitted at time of consideration, with no more than 3 days auto-approved and none allowed during the first week of orientation

Travel pairs or groups are not accepted

First-time travelers are not being considered for this position
