We are seeking a Retail Route Merchandiser to represent Five Star across client locations by ensuring vending machines and micro-markets are fully stocked, clean, and visually appealing. This role is ideal for self-motivated individuals who enjoy working independently, building customer relationships, driving safely, and taking pride in delivering exceptional service. You'll be the face of Five Star delivering snacks, drinks, and fresh food that keep our customers happy while helping grow our business through excellent service and upselling opportunities.

Key responsibilities include merchandising products according to store layouts and POGs, roll-out promotions, gathering and reporting customer feedback, maintaining established inventory levels for all products sold, restocking shelves, coolers, and coffee, following inventory-tracking and product-rotation protocols, collecting and recording out-of-date, rejected, or unsold merchandise, monitoring the shelf life of products to minimize spoilage losses, reviewing inventory requirements to identify what products are needed for each point of sale, working closely with the warehouse to ensure all products are ready for delivery, loading and unloading products in accordance with proper safety protocols to prevent injury, driving the company vehicle to deliver merchandise, maintaining open lines of communication with management regarding account product changes and recommending scheduling changes, collecting money from kiosks, following cash-handling and loss-prevention protocols to ensure personal and property safety, recording transactions on appropriate forms and/or handheld device, monitoring and reporting any activity that seems out of the norm or raises specific concern about potential misconduct, ensuring proper handling and refrigeration of all perishable items during transit and while stocking products, ensuring coolers maintain appropriate temperatures for product storage, performing routine cleaning, including, but not limited to, coffee machines, microwaves, coolers, racks, shelves, tables, countertops, floors, and windows, at each point of sale, greeting clients and customers in a friendly and professional manner, communicating effectively with customers to address questions or concerns, providing product and solution suggestions as needed, providing feedback and suggestions to improve route efficiency and customer satisfaction, completing full inventory counts and submitting as designated by company protocol, inspecting food quality & appearance; reporting stale products, reviewing "pick" sheets, conducting final walk-through.

Required qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver's license and clean driving record, the ability to consent to a drug screen and pre-employment background check, the ability to lift 50 pounds, the ability to lift, bend, stoop, and reach throughout the route, and being 21 to meet DOT requirements.

Preferred qualifications include merchandising experience and route/DOT experience.
