QC Lab Technician

Job Summary The QC Lab Technician position requires general knowledge of science, including basic chemical analyses. The position conducts QC tests on raw materials and manufactured products as requested. It evaluates product blending and packaging operations to ensure compliance with standards and GMPs. The position also assists the Laboratory Manager and Director of Technical Services in making qualitative and quantitative analyses, organizing and cleaning the lab, and performing testing on field samples. Essential Job Functions Ensure manufactured goods are filled, packaged, and labeled appropriately. Provide all basic QC analytical functions for raw materials and finished goods. Prepare test solutions, compounds, or reagents for laboratory personnel to conduct tests. Work quickly and efficiently and stay on task. Provide technical assistance for manufacturing processes which require laboratory attention. Maintain cleanliness of laboratory and assist with records, samples, and equipment maintenance. Assist manufacturing personnel in controlling the release of effluent associated with the manufacturing processes. Complete additional projects as assigned. Position Requirements Basic knowledge of science, especially chemistry, with understanding of scientific principles and techniques and ability to work well on a team. Any variety of lab experience. Education Preferred: Associates degree with concentrations in laboratory techniques or commensurate work experience or Bachelor’s degree. Experience Required: 0-2 years of experience in industrial chemical laboratory. Preferred: 2+ years of experience in industrial chemical laboratory.
