Step into a rewarding opportunity working with grades 3-5 in an engaging, supportive intermediate school setting. This contract role is perfect for a dedicated Occupational Therapist passionate about fostering student success and independence. The position is conveniently structured—work 2 to 3 days per week, either with full or partial days, allowing for a flexible schedule between the hours of 8:05 am and 2:45 pm. The assignment spans the full academic year, beginning September 8th, 2026, through June 16th, 2027.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide consultative and some direct OT services tailored to students’ fine motor and sensory needs
- Support a caseload of approximately 25 students within a single building, ensuring continuity and rapport
- Collaborate closely with teachers, staff, and families to develop and implement strategies that promote student participation and academic achievement
- Facilitate recommendations and modifications to enhance classroom accessibility and function
- Document progress, maintain accurate records, and contribute to the development and review of IEPs
Qualifications:
- Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist required
- Previous experience in a school-based OT setting preferred
- Strong skills in providing both consultative and hands-on intervention for elementary-aged children
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities
- Ability to work independently and as part of an interdisciplinary team
