Senior Accountant in Hauppauge, Long Island, NY Anna Parson at Robert Half is working with a large, well established manufacturing organization seeking a sharp Senior Accountant with manufacturing/distribution industry experience to join its corporate accounting team. The Senior Accountant will have a key role in financial reporting, month-end close, account analysis, and supporting the ongoing growth of a complex, multi-entity business environment. The ideal Senior Accountant candidate will bring strong technical accounting skills, experience in a corporate manufacturing setting coupled with Public Audit experience.As the Senior Accountant, you will: Support the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, accruals, and supporting schedules to maintain the integrity of financial records.Analyze financial results and prepare management reporting, including profitability analyses, variance explanations, and other decision-support reporting.Ensure compliance with GAAP, company accounting policies, internal controls, and SOX requirements.Maintain accounting schedules and reporting related to revenue recognition, lease accounting, debt obligations, and key balance sheet accounts.Reconcile and analyze complex balance sheet accounts, researching and resolving discrepancies as needed.Support internal and external audits by preparing documentation and responding to audit requests.Identify and implement process improvements, automation opportunities, and system enhancements to improve efficiency and strengthen controls.Contact Anna Parson at Robert Half or Apply Now for immediate and confidential consideration!
