Senior Production Engineer – Listed Derivatives Trading

Position Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Production Engineer to provide critical support for the Listed Derivatives trading desk. Working directly on the trading floor, you will help ensure the reliability, performance, and scalability of real-time trading systems.

You will partner closely with Traders and Development teams to troubleshoot complex production issues, optimize trading workflows, and drive continuous improvement across the technology environment. This role is ideal for a strong problem solver who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can combine technical expertise with business awareness and clear communication.

As part of an established team, you will maintain and monitor critical applications while following established change, incident, and problem management processes. You will also contribute to an engineering culture focused on automation, reducing manual effort, improving resilience, and lowering operational risk and cost.

This position will be performed in Jacksonville, FL (preference) or New York, NY

Your future duties and responsibilities
. Incident Management & Postmortem Excellence: Respond rapidly to production incidents with data driven decision making, minimizing downtime and financial impact.
. Lead root cause analysis and conduct blameless postmortems 
. Monitoring & Automation: Enhance application health monitoring and implement automation to reduce manual intervention and improve system resilience 
. Communication: Provide clear, timely updates to business stakeholders and senior technologists during incidents and follow ups.
. Collaboration: Partner with development teams to design and deploy fault tolerant, scalable solutions aligned with business goals 
. Governance & Compliance: Enforce and adhere to change, incident, and problem management policies, as well as bank specific non-financial risk frameworks
. Mentorship: Support the growth of junior team members and promote a culture of engineering excellence and continuous improvement
. Trading desk knowledge – Listed Derivatives. Need to work directly with traders in a live trading environment.
. Proven experience in a production support, SRE, or DevOps role within a trading or financial services environment.
. Knowledge of the Fixed Income product set, related market events, market data feeds and an understanding of the trading lifecycle (order routing, execution and settlement).

Required qualifications to be successful in this role
Proven expertise in production support, incident management, root cause analysis, and service reliability, ensuring high system availability and SLA compliance.

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $95,500.00 $167,200.00.
