About the Role

Lateral Link is assisting a prestigious law firm in Chicago that's looking to add a Corporate Associate with 2-6 years of experience to its preeminent team. Qualifications

• The ideal candidate must have 2-6 years of experience in mergers and acquisitions, as well as day-to-day corporate counseling matters in a large law firm setting .
• Candidates must have an active license to practice law in Illinois, the ability to waive in, or be willing and able to sit for the Illinois Bar.
• A law degree from a top 25 law school with excellent academic credentials, or graduating in the top 10% from a Top 50 law school, is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Interact directly with clients and take increasing responsibility on deals, drafting and negotiating complex documents.
• Provide guidance on the full spectrum of transaction-related matters, including M&A, PE, general corporate counseling, and governance.

Pay range and compensation package

$260-$420K base , plus bonus and full benefits package.
