Materials Coordinator

Travel: 4-6 weeks at a time | Up to 50 hours/week | U.S. Project Sites Per diem provided in accordance with applicable GSA rates Monthly phone stipend Monthly rest and rotation stipend Mobilization and demobilization expenses provided Rental truck provided; fuel expenses eligible for reimbursement Company-provided laptop Travel home approximately every 4–6 weeks, depending on project needs Position Overview A leading energy organization is seeking an experienced Owner’s Representative – Materials Management to support construction activities at project sites throughout the United States. This position will provide onsite oversight of materials receiving, inventory management, safety, quality, logistics, and contractor coordination. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in materials management and construction, with experience working in power, renewable energy, or large-scale infrastructure environments. Experience with solar, wind, or battery energy storage projects is highly preferred. Key Responsibilities Maintain a regular onsite presence during active construction and contractor working hours. Serve as a safety steward and report safety concerns, quality issues, and deficiencies to project leadership. Monitor the offloading and receipt of major equipment and materials, verifying quantities, condition, and documentation. Inspect, scan, and record incoming materials into inventory management systems. Maintain accurate Bills of Lading, receiving records, inventory documentation, and supporting project records. Track and document Owner-Furnished Equipment and other major materials throughout the receiving process. Identify, document, label, and properly quarantine damaged materials or pallets. Coordinate with contractors, procurement teams, logistics providers, carriers, and suppliers to support material flow and resolve delivery issues. Monitor delivery schedules and assist with material planning and coordination. Conduct spot checks of contractor-purchased materials to verify quantities, condition, and alignment with approved documentation. Review QA/QC documentation, including NCRs, RFIs, submittals, and testing records. Participate in Plan of Day, End of Day, quality, safety, and project coordination meetings. Conduct regular field visits and monitor construction activities for compliance with project specifications and applicable standards. Report deviations or anticipated deviations from project specifications to project leadership. Prepare detailed daily reports documenting onsite activities, progress, issues, discussions, and agreements, including photographs. Maintain project documentation and reports within designated construction management and project reporting systems. Support additional mechanical, materials, or electrical quality-assurance activities as needed. Develop positive working relationships with contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, logistics providers, and other project stakeholders. Participate in required orientations, training, virtual meetings, and project all-hands meetings. Work safely around energized or potentially energized electrical environments in accordance with applicable safety procedures. Qualifications 3+ years of progressive materials management experience. Current OSHA 10 and OSHA 30 certifications , maintained throughout the assignment. Documented safety training, skills, and competency appropriate for the work environment. Strong understanding of construction projects, industry standards, codes, specifications, safety requirements, quality, schedule, and budget considerations. Experience coordinating across contractors, suppliers, logistics providers, and project stakeholders. Strong communication, teamwork, leadership, and problem‑solving skills. Ability to work independently in a field‑based construction environment. Ability to travel throughout the United States and remain onsite for extended periods. Ability to work up to 50 hours per week and adjust travel based on project schedules. Preferred Experience Power industry experience Renewable energy construction experience Solar, wind, or battery energy storage system (BESS) construction experience Experience with large equipment and material receiving Experience with inventory management or construction management software Experience working around electrical infrastructure, substations, collection systems, or related facilities This is a highly field‑oriented position requiring frequent travel to construction sites throughout the United States. Work may take place outdoors in heat, cold, rain, wind, and uneven terrain. The position may require climbing ladders, accessing elevated equipment, working at heights, and operating safely around electrical equipment and potentially energized environments. #J-18808-Ljbffr
