Clinical Care Coordinator Full Time Non Exempt Main location, Atlanta, GA, US 5 days ago Requisition ID: 1113 The Clinical Care Coordinator (CCC) operates under the guidance of the Director of Nursing and the Assistant Director of Nursing. The CCC is responsible for performing radiographic imaging procedures to obtain X-ray images of patients, explaining procedures to patients, and ensuring minimal radiation exposure. The CCC identifies patient needs and under the Provider’s direction, ensures the efficient delivery of health services and smooth patient care flow. Additionally, the CCC assists providers in patient care and treatments, introduces patients and their families to the healthcare system, and acts as a liaison between patients, their families, and healthcare providers DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF POSITION: Works under the close supervision of providers and maintains patient confidentiality. Assists in obtaining patient and/or family information for Center records. Takes X-ray images of patients, producing films of their skeletal structure for diagnosis and treatment. Provides patients with protective materials to prevent overexposure to radiation. Ensures timely repairs and replacements of equipment. Obtains vital signs (B/P TPR) and conducts appropriate laboratory tests (blood and urine) as directed by providers. Performs venipunctures, collects specimens, and prepares requisitions for laboratory and X- ray work as directed by providers. Conducts vision and hearing screenings and administers First Aid under provider direction. Performs electrocardiograms and places patients on Holter monitors. Assists with admitting patients from the waiting area to the treatment room. Prepares patients for treatment and examination by providers. Is familiar with administrative and clinical policies and procedures. Assists patients with discharge from the clinical area. Is knowledgeable about all emergency equipment, tray contents, packs, and the location of equipment and supplies. Cares for central supply equipment, ensuring safety, proper operation and maintenance. Cleans and sterilizes equipment and instruments using the autoclave. Cleans and stocks patient rooms after use. Assists in cleaning and maintaining supplies in examination rooms. Demonstrates infection control principles: hand washing, aseptic technique, sterile technique, and adherence to isolation procedures. Is available and accessible at all times when on duty, attends required in-service education programs, staff, and departmental meetings. Documents appropriate information in the client’s EHR and signs name and title appropriately. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Able to relate to the health needs of the patient. Critical thinking skills to interpret orders and observational skills to identify problems with images and ensure patients remain correctly positioned. Able to communicate and understand verbal and written English language. Optimize the use of technology and understand health care terminology, charting, picture archiving, and medical procedures. Able to perform basic health care procedures that relate to patient care needs according to the nursing skill checklist. Practices using current clinical practice standards. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: A minimum of 2 years working experience in a healthcare facility as an x-ray or radiology technician. Minimum License(s) and Certifications(s) required: Certified Medical Assistant & Basic Life Support. Must have the required medical licenses to operate in Georgia.
