I opened my agency in 2000 and currently lead a team of 10. Before becoming an agent, I worked for State Farm Corporate, where I developed a passion for serving customers and building great teams. I'm a graduate of Texas A&M University, a proud husband, father, and grandfather, and enjoy golfing, fishing, and spending time with my family. Giving back to the community is one of our core values. Our agency proudly supports Bethesda Health Clinic, cancer awareness initiatives, and the Hispanic Business Association. We believe in serving our community with the same care and dedication we provide our customers every day. As an Account Associate for John Merrill - State Farm Agent, you are vital to our daily business operations and customers’ success. You help grow our office through meaningful customer relations and acting as a liaison between customer needs and agency departments. You improve the lives of customers by proactively marketing relevant products and services.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage customer accounts and update information in the database.
- Assist customers with policy changes and inquiries.
- Process insurance claims and follow up with customers on claim status.
- Coordinate with underwriters to ensure timely policy issuance.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Previous experience in insurance or a related field preferred.
- Bilingual Spanish highly preferred.
