Sourcing Analyst

Contract Length: 9+ months - possibility of extension Schedule: Flexible Hybrid Schedule: usually consists of 2-3 days in office and remaining days remote Pay Rate: $29 - $30.34 per hour on W2 Russell Tobin is seeking a Sourcing Analyst to work with one of its high-profile fashion retail clients. Background within the retail, apparel and/or fashion industry is strongly desired.

JOB DESCRIPTION

The role supports cross-functional engagement with Commercialization, Packaging, Planning, Operations, Merchants, Product Development and other teams as needed. This role is on the larger Global Vendor Management team and requires some communication with outside vendors and contract fillers. High level, the GVM team manages vendor relationships and strategies, negotiates costing, and manages and communicates costing strategy and system entry. This role will specifically focus on tasks related to the Commercial Sourcing team, who manage new launch costs and vendor relationships within the product development lifecycle. Top 3 required skills: Adaptability (Nature of role may evolve over time) Basic familiarity with excel and SAP/ PLM reporting tools Additional Information: What would a typical day look like in this role as far as workload? This person will support their supervisor as the go-to contact for costing any new launch items within the Lip category They are responsible for sharing out cost estimates on finished goods (including components, bulk, and fill) to our Merchant and Planning partners within the product development timeline to ensure we are within our target goals If not, work with the vendors and package / formula partners to cost engineer the product to be within budget Partner with component vendors and contract fillers to verify costs on new finished goods and question if their quotes don't make sense Work with supervisor to fill out target cost of goods files and submit RFQs, "request for quotes” in our system to vendors Accept RFQs in the system and work in SAP to cost roll a finished good so Operations can place the purchase orders on time Attend weekly Launch Readiness Meetings with all supply chain cross-functional partners to report the status of costs, depending on where we are within the product development process Partner with Planning to finalize a buy strategy for every new form, based on annual volumes or seasonality Attend weekly Product Development Status meetings with our Merchant brand partners to learn of any agility requests or changes to the assortment and report out any costs that need to be discussed Must be authorized to work in the United States Why Join?
