Technical Inside Sales Representative

The HT Group is partnering with an established industrial manufacturer to hire a Technical Inside Sales Representative. This role will support existing customers and sales opportunities by providing product information, assisting with project requirements and specification development, and helping the sales team move opportunities through the pipeline. The ideal candidate will have the technical aptitude to understand project specifications and drawings while also having the commercial skills to develop relationships and identify opportunities. Location: Houston TX - 77086 (On-site)

- Support inbound sales inquiries and existing customer opportunities.
- Build relationships with engineering firms, EPCs, distributors, contractors, and end users.
- Assist customers and the sales team with product information, specifications, and project requirements.
- Review basic technical drawings, specifications, and project details to help identify appropriate products.
- Provide timely follow-up on quotes, customer requests, and project opportunities.
- Track customer interactions, projects, and sales opportunities in HubSpot CRM.
- Maintain accurate customer, contact, project, and pipeline information.
- Work closely with the sales team to ensure opportunities are properly followed up on and documented.
- Develop a strong understanding of the company's products and assist customers in identifying appropriate solutions.
- 2+ years of experience in technical sales/customer service or specification sales.
- Experience supporting customers and/or sales teams in a technical, industrial, or manufacturing setting
- Experience working with engineering firms, EPCs, contractors, distributors, or industrial customers preferred.
- Ability to understand technical drawings and project specifications.
- Strong technical aptitude and communication skills.
- Mechanical Engineering or related technical degree preferred, but equivalent experience will be considered.
- CRM experience required; HubSpot experience is a plus.
- Highly organized with strong follow-up and project management skills.
