AbouttheRole
A ConstructionSuperintendent willleadday-to-dayfieldoperationsforresidentialand/orcommercialprojectsandisresponsibleformanagingjobsiteexecutionfromplanningthroughcompletion—drivingschedule,quality,safety,andcoordinationacrosstradesandstakeholders.TheSuperintendentworksinclosepartnershipwiththeProjectManagerandcommunicatesregularlywithowners,tenants,anddesignteamstoensureexpectationsaremetandconstructiondocumentsareexecutedtoNWBCstandards.
KeyResponsibilities
- Meetwithbuildingowners/tenantstoreviewbuild-outspecificationsandplannedimprovements
- Createestimatesforbuild-outprojects(labor,materials,supplies,andancillarycosts)
- Coordinateallconstructionservicesandactivitieson-site
- Maintainandmanagedaily/weekly/monthlyschedulesandsupportbudgetcontrol;adjustasneededtohitdeadlines
- Leadandmanageon-siteconstructioncrewsandsubcontractors
- AttendproductionmeetingsandmaintainconstantcommunicationwiththeProjectManager
- Maintainadailyjobsitelogandtakedailyphotos
- EnsureworkmeetsqualityexpectationsofNewWestBuildingCompany,theclient/designteam,andtheconstructiondocuments
- Placematerialordersandmaintainresponsibilityforequipmentandmaterialson-site
- Monitorsafetycompliance;maintainprojectsafety/injurylogsandupholdsafeworkpractices
- Maintainsitecleanlinessandoverallorderliness
- Keepdetailedrecordsforsitepersonnelandjobsiteactivities
- Overseeallphasesoftheprojectthroughcompletion
- Performotherdutiesasprojectneedsarisetosupporttheoverallsuccessoftheprojectandtheprojectteam
Qualifications&Experience
- Minimum5yearsofexperienceasaConstructionSuperintendentorinasimilarrole
- Strongunderstandingofconstructionoperations,sequencing,andfieldcoordination
- Knowledgeoflocalquality,safety,andhealthguidelinesforconstructionjobsites
- ProficiencywithMSOfficeSuite(Project,Excel,Word),Procore,andBluebeam
- Demonstratedstrengthsin:
- Organizationandtimemanagement
- Leadershipandcollaborationwithdiverseinternal/externalpartners
- Adaptability,responsiveness,andclearcommunication
- OSHA30certification
- Competentunderstandingof:
- Safeworkpractices
- Planreading,shopdrawings,andspecifications
- Submittals,RFIs,andscopesofwork
- Surveyingandchangeorders
- QA/QCandcoderequirements
