Location: Richmond, VA
Pay: $20.00–$35.00 per hour
Job Type: Full-Time, Contract (3–4 Months)
Schedule: Approximately 35–40 hours per week

Responsibilities

As an Accounts Payable / Accounts Receivable Specialist , you will support the day-to-day accounting operations by maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring timely processing of transactions.

• Process Accounts Payable invoices, vendor payments, and payment requests.
• Manage Accounts Receivable , customer payments, and account balances.
• Review invoices for accuracy and ensure proper coding and documentation.
• Reconcile vendor statements and customer accounts.
• Enter financial information accurately into accounting systems.
• Assist with account reconciliations and month-end accounting activities.
• Maintain organized accounting files and financial documentation.
• Prepare reports using Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
• Communicate professionally with vendors, customers, and internal departments regarding payment status and account questions.
• Support the accounting team with administrative duties and special projects as needed.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in Accounts Payable , Accounts Receivable , bookkeeping, or general accounting required.
• Experience with invoice processing, payment posting, account reconciliation, and financial recordkeeping.
• QuickBooks experience is highly preferred and may qualify candidates for higher compensation.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks while maintaining accuracy.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative accounting team.
• Entry-level candidates with relevant accounting education or internship experience are encouraged to apply.

• Monday through Friday
• Approximately 35–40 hours per week
• Hybrid schedule with some work-from-home flexibility
• Professional office environment located in Richmond, VA
