Student Center Event Services Specialist - (496683 )

Department : Student Center Salary :15.00-16.11 Description The Specialist provides excellent set-up services to all guestsand users of the Student Center (SC), SC Satellite, and otherassigned facilities.

1. Assists with set-up for scheduled events to occur within the SCor SC Satellite facilities. This may include but not limited totable and chair placement, audio-visual equipment and placement andtesting of any other equipment used.
2. Responsible for or assists with all cleaning of meeting roomsand special event spaces reserved for use. This includes but is notlimited to light custodial work in each space as needed, trashremoval, wiping and cleaning of table surfaces, furnitureplacement, cleaning of floor surfaces, white erase boards, artwork,plant arrangements and interior windows as appropriate.
3. Checks and replenishes supplies associated with roomequipment.
4. Monitors and adjusts room temperatures, door access and lightcontrol functions of the assigned area of the event.
5. Responsible for or assists in placement of printed room cardsfor scheduled events.
6. Assists with supervision of members of student Event Set-Up Crewas well as provides direction for modifications of work assignmentsas needed to accommodate event schedules. Provides assistance inthe training of the student Set-Up Crew.
7. Participates in identifying and submitting items of concernrelated to repairs and replacement of any room/space furnishings orequipment.
8. Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

MQ: Requires a basic knowledge of grammar, spelling, punctuationand simple mathematical functions like percentages, ratios, etc. asmight normally be acquired through attainment of a high schooldiploma or GED. Requires a minimum of one (1) year of directlyjob-related experience. Additional Job Posting Information Department is willing to accept education in lieu ofexperience. This position is a second shift, evening and weekends hours.
