In this role, you will- Oversee day-to-day machine shop activity on second shift
- Run and support Makino machining centers and MMC pallet pool systems
- Serve as the on-floor technical lead for CNC operators
- Train and mentor new operators
- Diagnose and resolve machining, tooling, and production issues
- Collaborate with maintenance, engineering, and the tool room
- Track tooling inventory; handle replacement, repair, and maintenance
- Perform quality checks and confirm production output
- Move materials and document activity in SAP
- Support continuous improvement and efficiency projects
- Back up the Machine Shop Supervisor as needed
- 5+ years of experience in a machine shop
- CNC machining environment experience
- Background training or mentoring operators
- Strong blueprint/print reading
- Cross-functional work with engineering, maintenance, and tooling teams
- Familiarity with SAP or similar ERP systems
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving
- Team Lead or Supervisor experience
- Makino machining centers
- MMC pallet pool systems
- Lean/Continuous Improvement
- G-Code programming exposure
- Journeyman Machinist or technical certifications
- Four-day workweek (Monday–Thursday)
