Paralegal – Personal Injury / Med Mal Miami, FL | Full-Time | In-Office Established Trial Firm | Top-Tier Med Mal & PI Docket | Experienced, Supportive Team A well-established Miami-based plaintiffs' firm is seeking an experienced personal injury paralegal for a high-volume caseload. The firm focuses on medical malpractice, catastrophic injury, wrongful death, construction litigation, and insurance litigation, representing clients throughout Florida. This is a long-term, in-office role at the case-management level, ideal for a paralegal who wants to work on serious injury and malpractice matters with the support of a strong legal team. About the Role From day one, the paralegal will manage case files for medical malpractice and personal injury matters, working closely with members of the firm on discovery, medical record review, and trial preparation. Key Responsibilities Manage a caseload of medical malpractice and personal injury files from intake through resolution Draft pleadings, discovery requests and responses, and other litigation documents for attorney review Collect, organize, and summarize medical records and bills to support case evaluation and damages Prepare for and coordinate depositions, hearings, mediations, and trial Communicate with clients, medical providers, insurance adjusters, and opposing counsel Track case deadlines and statutes of limitations, and maintain case management calendars Assist attorneys with trial preparation, including exhibit and witness organization Coordinate with expert witnesses and vendors as needed Experience and background: 5+ years of experience as a paralegal in plaintiffs' personal injury litigation Strong medical record review, case management, and litigation support skills Prior experience in medical malpractice litigation strongly preferred Must-haves: No formal certification required; FRP or paralegal certification is a plus Scheduling depositions, hearings, and managing attorneys’ calendar Self-starting and able to manage a high-volume caseload with minimal supervision Significant, hands-on experience in plaintiffs' personal injury required Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a client-focused approach Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to track multiple case deadlines independently Why This Role Stands Out Work directly with an experienced FRP paralegal and respected trial attorneys on catastrophic injury and medical malpractice cases Meaningful case ownership and responsibility across the full litigation lifecycle Collaborative, well-resourced legal team supporting each matter Strong benefits package including 401(k) with profit sharing, full health coverage, and free parking Compensation and Benefits Salary: $80,000 to $120,000, commensurate with experience.
