Business Development Manager | Detroit Metro | Manufacturing & Workforce Solutions $70,000–$90,000 Base Salary + Uncapped Commission + Performance Bonuses Drive Growth. Build Relationships. Make an Impact. MS Companies is seeking an ambitious, relationship-driven Business Development Manager to help expand our presence throughout Eastern Michigan and the greater Detroit market. What You’ll Do Develop and execute strategic business development initiatives across the Detroit Metro and Eastern Michigan region Generate new business opportunities through prospecting, networking, referrals, and relationship development Manage the full sales cycle: Discovery Closing Build long-term partnerships with manufacturing, operations, HR, quality, and executive leadership teams Conduct onsite client meetings, facility visits, presentations, and networking activities throughout the region Maintain pipeline activity, forecasting, and account updates within Salesforce CRM Collaborate internally with recruiting, operations, and leadership teams to ensure strong customer delivery and satisfaction Identify opportunities to expand service offerings within existing client accounts Represent MS Companies at industry events, trade shows, and regional networking functions What We’re Looking For Required Qualifications 3+ years of B2B sales, business development, account management, or staffing/services sales experience Proven ability to manage a full sales cycle and close new business opportunities Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills Experience using CRM platforms such as Salesforce Highly organized with strong time management and pipeline management abilities Self-starter mentality with the ability to work independently in a hybrid environment Ability to pass background screening and drug screening Preferred Experience Automotive, manufacturing, logistics, industrial, aerospace, or operational services experience Staffing, workforce solutions, consulting, or service-based sales experience Existing relationships within the Michigan manufacturing or industrial market Experience engaging plant managers, operations leaders, HR teams, and executive stakeholders Familiarity with LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Apollo.io, Pardot, or similar prospecting tools Demonstrated history of exceeding sales quotas or revenue targets Why Join MS Companies?
