Admissions Counselor
As a part of a diverse community of faculty and staff who represent many faith systems and worldviews, Marian University is seeking qualified applicants for a full-time Admissions Counselor. The Admissions Counselor will promote our Catholic Franciscan mission and identity by serving as a primary representative to prospective students and families, leading recruitment outreach, territory management, and individualized counseling to support enrollment goals. This role advances student engagement and enrollment conversion through relationship driven communication, accurate guidance, and effective use of recruitment systems and data.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Actively engage the Catholic Franciscan mission and identity of Marian University by modeling the Franciscan Sponsorship Values and honoring the legacy of the founding congregation through transformative education, unity in diversity, leadership through service, integrating faith and life, and institutional policies.
- Recruit prospective students through outreach, travel, and events (30%)
- Counsel students and families on admissions and financial aid processes (20%)
- Manage territory communications and relationship development (15%)
- Support campus visits, information sessions, and yield programs (15%)
- Evaluate applications and support enrollment conversion (10%)
- Maintain CRM records and engagement tracking (10%)

- Assists to establish department measurements that align and support the accomplishment of the University's strategic goals
- Adheres to the department budget
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree
- Strong organization and problem-solving skills.
- High attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel and Word.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines.
- Ability to work collaboratively across multiple functional areas.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 1+ years in admissions, recruitment, or enrollment
