John Deere Parts Specialist

C & B Equipment, a progressive family-owned company that has grown over 30 years to include John Deere ag, material handling and power sports locations, has an opening for a John Deere Parts Specialist at its dealership located in Mitchell, South Dakota. A Parts Specialist is responsible for selling, receiving, and delivering parts and accessories. We are looking for an individual with excellent customer service skills and a positive, enthusiastic disposition to meet or exceed the on-going needs of our customers. Prior sales experience and John Deere equipment knowledge a plus. Fast paced environment, with outside sales development potential for the right individual. Will be expected to be a part of the on call rotation as needed during seasonal hours.

Essential Duties:

• Promotes and sells products and/or services on and off-site to meet customer needs
• Supplies Service Technicians with parts as required
• Assists with preparing and maintaining merchandise displays
• Verifies receipting-in of shipments and assists with placing Machine Down and Stock Orders in their proper inventory locations
• Assists in keeping parts department clean and orderly
• Follows up on shortages and expedites issues by reporting to the manager
• Assists in maintaining all departmental tools, equipment, and vehicles are in good working order

Requirements

• Valid driver's license and a safe driving record
• Class A CDL preferred
• Ability to meet physical demands and duration of physical exertion generally required to perform tasks in support of all job functions, for example - sitting, standing, walking, lifting, carrying, reaching, pushing, and pulling
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Ability to operate a fork lift preferred
• Basic parts and machinery knowledge
• Basic data entry/keyboarding skills
• High school diploma or GED required
