Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse specializing in Labor and Delivery to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in maternal and newborn care, with a focus on providing high-quality support in various maternity settings.

Responsibilities:

Provide care in Labor and Delivery, Postpartum, OB Triage, Antepartum, and Normal Newborn units.
Float to different areas as required to meet patient care needs.
Administer care for patients with diagnoses related to labor and delivery.
Perform special procedures including vaginal and cesarean deliveries, circulation in the OR, starting adult IVs, and administering blood and blood products.
Manage the use of drains, epidural pumps, PCA pumps, and medications such as insulin and magnesium sulfate.
Participate in couplet care to support mother-baby attachment.

Qualifications:

Minimum of 2 years of experience in Labor and Delivery, including experience in LDRP, L&D, postpartum, and newborn care.
Active Compact license required.
Certifications: AWHONN Intermediate, BLS, FHM, NRP; ACLS preferred.
Proficient in circulating, fetal heart monitoring (FHM), and starting IVs.
Ability to work with specialized equipment related to labor and delivery care.

Staffing Ratio:

The staffing ratio is maintained at 1:1 to 1:3, ensuring a focus on personalized patient care and safety.

Shift Information:

Nights: 3 shifts of 12 hours (19:00 - 07:30)
