Production Supervisor - 1st Shift

We are currently seeking a 1st shift Production Supervisor for our metals stamping division located in New Hope, MN. Position Summary The Production Supervisor is responsible for leading and directing employees within the stamping plant to ensure the safe, efficient, and high-quality production of metal components. This role oversees daily operations, provides training and support to production staff, coordinates workflow through department leads, and drives continuous improvement initiatives. The Production Supervisor works closely with manufacturing, engineering, and quality teams to meet production goals, maintain safety standards, improve processes, and ensure customer requirements are achieved while fostering a positive and productive work environment. Demonstrate an advanced knowledge of tool holders, cutting tools, boring bars, fixtures, inserts and other accessories used on various machines in order to meet production needs Utilize a strong understanding of blueprint reading and geometric tolerancing interpretation to build products to specifications. Adjust machine feed and speed and changes cutters to machine parts according to specifications, as needed Conduct programming at the machine - Master Cam, Gibbs or Solidworks preferred Assist in and train employees on the set-up CNC lathes, multi-axis lathes and vertical milling machines Consult with engineering to modify jobs and improve production and quality of products. Ensure that all aspects of plant operations are as efficient as possible. Comply with the requirements of the ISO Quality Management System and departmental procedures, and work-instructions. Complete prompt, thorough and high-quality incident investigations that identify root causes and corrective actions are completed for all incidents and injuries. Must have a metal stamping manufacturing environment, with a strong understanding of stamping operations, production scheduling, quality standards, safety requirements, and continuous improvement initiatives. Preferred Qualifications High School Diploma or GED required. Four-Year College or university program certificate; or two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. 5+ years experience supervising production and employees in the sheet metal industry. 5+ years manufacturing experience in sheet metal industry Ability to lead, make decisions for the business Lake Air Products Offers Competitive Pay Full Benefits 401(k) Employer Match Paid Time Off (PTO) and Holiday Pay Tuition Reimbursement Please note that this position may require travel to our Roseville, MN facility and may be subject to export control regulations.
