Pediatric Dentistry, Clinical Assistant Professor, School of Dental Medicine (Part Time, .40 FTE)

Stony Brook University: Health Sciences: School of Dental Medicine: Orthodontics and Pediatric Dentistry Description Two days per week active clinical coverage during delivery of all aspects of pediatric dentistry and oral helath education which may include clinical education of undergraduate dental students and/or postgraduate pediatric dental residents. Pediatric clinical care occurs in the pediatric dental clinic within Stony Brook School of Dental Medicine or other locations as identified and requested at the discretion of the Department Chair. Qualifications Required Qualifications DDS/DMD degree from a CODA accredited dental school A certificate of completion from a CODA accredited Pediatric Dentistry Advanced Education Program A New York State License Proficiency in all facets of pediatric dentistry including emergent treatment Preferred Qualifications American Board of Pediatric Dentistry (ABPD) certification or eligibility Previous teaching experience at a CODA accredited institution NYS moderate sedation certificate or eligibility Active member in AAPD Special Notes Non-Tenure Track position. FLSA Exempt position, not eligible for the overtime provisions of the FLSA. Anticipated Start Date As soon as possible.
