Account Supervisor, Crisis & Risk Communications

Account Supervisor (AS) The U.S. Crisis & Risk team in New York seeks an Account Supervisor to lead proactive and reactive risk management assignments across a multi-industry portfolio. Responsibilities Lead research, planning and development of integrated corporate communications and crisis management accounts. Provide strategic guidance and tactical support for clients in emerging issues and reputational challenges. Oversee quality and operational performance of account teams, ensuring deadlines and budget compliance. Write internal and client correspondence, communications plans, stakeholder materials, new business proposals, etc. Utilize stakeholder group knowledge to craft communications for specific audiences and channels. Stay current on industry trends, global news, and potential client risks to recommend proactive actions. Employ media relations skills to correct story inaccuracies and build relationships with media. Support daily communications triage and response, coordinating the team and client counsel. Build compelling presentations and engage account teams to convey strategic ideas. Champion integration of teams and act as a network resource to meet client goals. Use AI responsibly to drive efficiency. Track project financials (budget vs. actual) and meet revenue targets. Mentor, coach, and support team members, ensuring development through training and learning initiatives. Lead by example, demonstrate strong work ethic, mastery of PR tactics, and excellent people management. Commit to continuous learning, building technical and leadership skills. Demonstrate behaviors consistent with the firm’s values and code of ethics. Basic Qualifications At least 4 years of experience in communications, marketing, or related fields. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience. Preferred Qualifications 4-7 years of crisis communications experience, preferably in an agency setting. Familiarity with best practices for major corporate communications issues (societal issues, data security, workplace matters, external reputation). Proven ability to manage large projects and small teams. High attention to detail, fast‑paced workflow management across multiple accounts. Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to delegate tactical assignments and edit others’ work accurately. Solid understanding of AI applications within a crisis and risk context. Knowledge of corporate communications tools and tactics with capability to recommend to senior team members. Salary Range $68,000 - $92,000 per year, based on experience, qualifications, and geographic location. Benefits Medical, dental, vision, 401(k), life, disability insurance.
