The Guidance Center in Southgate, MI is seeking a dedicated LMSW Social Worker specializing in Adult Mental Health to join our Behavioral Health team. This permanent outpatient therapist role offers excellent pay and comprehensive benefits while providing impactful mental health services to adults and families. The position requires a passionate professional capable of conducting clinical assessments, developing individualized treatment plans, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to support clients' mental health and co-occurring substance use disorders.

Type: Permanent, Full Time
Schedule: Days, approximately 37.5 hours/week
Hours: Monday–Thursday 8:30 AM–7:00 PM, Friday 8:30 AM–5:00 PM, Saturday 9:00 AM–1:00 PM as needed
On-Call: None

Responsibilities

• Conduct intake evaluations and clinical assessments
• Provide direct treatment to adults and families through individual and group therapy
• Treat mental health and co-occurring substance-use disorders
• Develop person-centered treatment plans
• Collaborate with psychiatrists, primary care providers, schools, families, and community resources
• Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation
• Participate in clinical supervision, team meetings, and case consultations
• Coordinate discharge planning
• Maintain state licensure and meet funding and contract requirements
• Complete required training related to adult mental health and co-occurring disorders

Required Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, or Counseling
• Michigan license or credential such as LLMSW, LMSW, LLPC, LPC, TLLP, or LLP
• Minimum 1 year experience treating or working with individuals diagnosed with mental illness (fieldwork/internship experience may count)
• Must obtain Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP) credential within 120 days of hire
• Strong communication, organizational, documentation, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently
• Comfortable working with diverse populations
• No visa sponsorship available

Pay

• Full License: $29.47–$39.67/hour
• Limited License: $27.22–$36.63/hour
• Pay depends on license and experience
• Salary is grant-based and non-negotiable
