Senior QA Engineer (Vice President)

About this role We are seeking a highly skilled Senior QA Engineer to lead quality assurance efforts for our software products. This role involves designing and executing comprehensive test strategies, ensuring product reliability, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to maintain the highest standards of quality. Key Responsibilities Develop and maintain test plans to ensure full coverage of product requirements. Design, create, and execute automated and manual test scripts to meet quality goals. Prepare and manage traceability matrices to verify test coverage. Generate detailed testing reports and communicate findings to stakeholders. Monitor software changes and update test cases and plans accordingly. Maintain a comprehensive database of software defects and track resolutions. Collaborate with team members and assist colleagues in achieving optimal results. Perform additional tasks assigned by management within the scope of expertise. Qualifications Strong understanding of software development principles and various software types. Proficiency in formal programming languages, primarily Python and SQL. Knowledge of automated processing technologies and QA methodologies. Familiarity with technical documentation standards and best practices. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Solid understanding of client-server architecture. Commitment to continuous professional development and learning. Requirements & Professional Experience Minimum 6+ years of professional software testing experience. Extensive experience with QA tools, including defect-tracking systems. Prior programming experience is highly desirable. Education Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field. Additional QA certifications or training preferred. For Chicago, IL Only the salary range for this position is USD$140,000.00 - USD$195,000.00 . Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, and benefits including healthcare, leave benefits, and retirement benefits.
